SIZE & PRICING

Choosing the size of your pet portrait can feel tricky at first, but it becomes much clearer once you imagine where it will live in your home.

Before our consultation, it helps to think about:

  • Where you’d like the portrait displayed
  • Whether you’re imagining a statement piece or something more intimate
  • If the portrait will include one pet or multiple pets

If you’re unsure, that’s completely okay. We’ll talk it through together and choose a size that feels right for both the space and your budget.

Commissioned pet portraits typically begin around $300, with final pricing based on size, number of subjects, and detail, which will be discussed during consultation.

Each commissioned pet portrait is created by hand, one at a time, from start to finish.

Beyond the hours spent painting, pricing reflects the care that goes into the entire process. From studying your photos and capturing your pet’s expression, to high quality materials, careful packaging, and shipping.

This isn’t a print or a digital file. It’s a one of a kind piece of artwork created with intention, patience, and respect for the bond you share with your pet.

REFERENCE PHOTOS

For a detailed pet portrait, clear reference photos are essential. Good lighting and sharp focus help me capture your pet’s expression and personality.

Helpful tips:

• Natural light works best, ideally near a window or outdoors
• Photos taken at your pet’s eye level are ideal
• Clear visibility of the eyes is especially important

I usually work from one main reference photo, but additional photos can be helpful for understanding your pet’s character and markings.

If your pet is no longer with you, I will do my best to work with the photos you have.
I’ll review them carefully and let you know if they’re suitable for a memorial portrait. Memorial portraits are always handled with care and sensitivity.

BOOK YOUR PET PORTRAIT

Once you have an idea on the size portrait you’d like and you have gathered a selection of suitable reference photos, the next step is to get in contact with me. You can fill in the form at the top or bottom of this page.

After a brief consultation and once details are confirmed, I’ll send a commission agreement outlining everything we’ve discussed. Your spot is reserved once a deposit is received.

I typically work with a short waiting list. If you have a specific timeline in mind, please let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate when possible.

COMPLETION

When your portrait is complete, I’ll send you a photo for approval. Once you’re fully happy with the final piece, the remaining balance is due.

Your artwork remains safely in my care until final payment is received, after which it will be carefully packaged and shipped to you.
